You are invited to participate in a local mission experience. All you need is:

• A willing heart
• A love to bake
• An open oven

Our Confirmation Ministry has been a partner with the Temple Baptist Church’s Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen in Brainerd for more than 10 years. On the second Wednesday of each month the meal is cooked at First Lutheran. It is then loaded into the van with a confirmation small group and their adult companions. They setup the meal, serve it, and cleanup. In the past ten years our group alone has served more than 6,000 meals. Home-made dessert is something that is much appreciated by the hungry patrons.

Would you be willing to make a pan of bars, cake, or cookies to send with our local missionaries? Please check the dates in the box and sign up in the hallway at church. We need to send about 6-8 dozen per time.
