Invocation and Preparing Our Hearts for Worship

Litany
L: Come, let us dwell in God’s shelter.
C: Let us dwell in God’s work of art.
…..
C: Let us worship God!

Confession and Forgiveness
L: Merciful God, in your gracious presence we confess our sin and the sin of this world. You place us in your creation, and you command us to care for it. Your works declare glory and splendor, and you call us to praise and reverence.
L: Where we have degraded or destroyed earth's bounty,
C: Forgive us.
L: Where we have taken beauty and majesty for granted,
C: Have mercy upon us.
L: Where we have become estranged from the creatures with whom we share this planet,
C: Grant us your peace. Renew us in the waters of baptism, refresh us with the winds of your spirit, and sustain us with the bread of life. In the name of Jesus Christ, and for the sake of the new creation, we pray.
All: Amen

Exchange of God’s Peace

L: God’s peace has been given us. Now let’s share that peace with each other.

Prayer of the Day …………………………………….……………..……….…………… Creation Care Ministry
L: All-powerful God, you are present in the whole universe and in the smallest of your creatures. You embrace with your tenderness all that exists. Pour out upon us the power of your love, that we may protect life and beauty.
C: Fill us with peace, that we may live as brothers and sisters, harming no one.
L: O God of the poor, help us to rescue the abandoned and forgotten of this earth, so precious in your eyes. Bring healing to our lives, that we may protect the world and not prey on it, that we may sow beauty, not pollution and destruction. Touch the hearts of those who look only for gain at the expense of the poor and the earth. Teach us to discover the worth of each thing, to be filled with awe and contemplation, to recognize that we are profoundly united with every creature as we journey towards your infinite light.
C: We thank you for being with us each day. Encourage us, we pray, in our struggle for justice, love and peace.
(Prayer for our Earth from Pope Francis Encyclical)

Offering Prayer
C: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ, who in your self-emptying love gathered up and reconciled all creation to the Father. Innumerable galaxies of the heavens worship you. Creatures that grace the earth rejoice in you. All those in the deepest seas bow to you in adoration. As with them we give you praise, grant that we may cherish the earth, our home, and live in harmony with this good creation, for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

IPrayers of the Church ………………………………………………….…………………………………. Creation Care Ministry
L: Although Christ is risen from the grave and has shattered the power of death, we are still held captive by fear and doubt. We hold on to suspicions and jealousies that set neighbor against neighbor and nation against nation. We have neglected the poor and the hungry. In our pursuit of the "good life" we have gone along with injustice; we have ignored the cries of the oppressed. We pursue profits and pleasures that harm the land and pollute the waters. We have squandered the Earth's gifts on technologies of destruction.
C: Have mercy on us, O God. Help us to trust your power to change our lives and make us new, that we and all your creatures may know the joy of life abundant, given through Jesus Christ, the risen Lord.

Lord’s Prayer

Benediction
L: May the blessing of God, Creator of heaven and Earth, rest upon you and upon all that God has made; May the Risen Christ Jesus transform your life and your vision, so that you may live in reconciliation with all things; and may the power of God’s Holy Spirit move over this whole Earth, like the breath of Spring, to renew the Earth and all its people, so that all creation may join together in praise to God’s holy name! Almighty God, + Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, bless you now and forever.
C: Amen.

Sending Song .….………….......“Your Love is Everlasting”, Dakota Road …….….…………………….. See Screen
